The iconic tune, conceived and created in the Cinque Torri, will feature in all world championship videos.

Cortina d’Ampezzo (BL), 1 February 2021 – With less than a week to go until the World Championships, Fondazione Cortina 2021 launches the official soundtrack that will feature in all the video content of the event. The tune is entitled “Cortina” and is the brainchild of Content Creator & Youtuber Klaus (pseudonym of Tudor Laurini). A tribute to the destination, certain to become an indelible signature as the “Cortina 2021 official theme tune”; a project promoted and supported by Telepass, presenting partner of the World Ski Championships.

The artist from Rome, who has 1,4 million followers on YouTube and 997 thousand on Instagram, is passionate about winter and mountain sports and this is also reflected in his work. He has a very special relationship with Cortina, where he created the song as a tribute to the Queen of the Dolomites.

He got the idea for the tune in the iconic setting of the Cinque Torri, and the track has now been granted to the Fondazione, for the purpose of promoting the World Championships, and to all its partners to tell stories from the event on their social media channels. Together with Kristian Ghedina and Sofia Goggia, Klaus will hence be the third “Ambassador” of Cortina 2021”!

Born in 1997, Tudor Laurini, artist name Klaus, started publishing videos on YouTube in 2012, motivated by his great passion for music. He then transformed his profiles into a real and proper diary, where he shares moments from daily life, with the specific goal of transmitting positive messages with a focus on values such as friendship and love to his contemporaries. With his motto “Viva la vida!”, Klaus aims to stimulate young people who follow him to believe in themselves and to be enterprising. His themes are mainly related to music, sport, food and travel.

The special bond Klaus has with Cortina is also strengthened by his DJ collaboration with Audi, partner of the World Championships and of destination Cortina. Last summer, the content creator & Youtuber brought his Wanderlust project to Fiames, the Audi test drive area dedicated to sustainable sportsmanship, where he gave a memorable performance at sunset. A futuristic project, launched during lockdown, in which performance and location become inseparable elements that involve all the senses. DJ sets usually take place in extraordinary venues, such as museums, historical buildings, and breathtaking natural scenery. An immersive journey through symbols, archetypal elements, evocative impressions and special effects. Klaus is also mentor of the third edition of Audi we generation, the project that sees Audi and H-FARM collaborating in providing a training course in which the protagonists are university students on a mission to discover a new starting point for tomorrow’s generations.

Klaus will be the protagonist of numerous digital initiatives in the coming days and during the World Championships: Wednesday 3 February at 17,00 there will be Live Instagram on the channels of Klaus and Cortina 2021 where Tudor Laurini and Alessandro Benetton, President of Fondazione Cortina 2021, will tell the story of how the tune, that will be listened to by millions of people all over the world, was born.
