Since 2018 we have been committed to promoting social and environmental issues through a message printed on the bibs. This year the focus will be on sport and sportsmanship.

Fondazione Cortina 2021 has decided to convey important messages through the visibility of the ski champions on television and photographs both during the past World Cup races and this year at the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals scheduled from 18th to 22nd March in Cortina. The message is printed on the champions’ bibs.

After the slogans ‘Stop violence against women and girls’ in 2018 and ‘Save our Planet. Stop climate change’ in 2019, a new message will be printed on the bibs at the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals: ‘Always Play Fairly’!

The fairness in sport is what makes the competitions so exciting. Respect, fight against doping and sportsmanship are core values.

But this message is an invitation to be fair off the slopes as well, to the other people and the society, and respect the environment in which we live.

These clear, meaningful words will come from Cortina and from the athletes competing on the slopes of Tofane. Sport and champions have always represented an important and effective means of communication, because they have a positive influence and a lot of followers.
