Cortina d’Ampezzo, 1st December 2019 – From today, Sunday 1st December, tickets for the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals to be held in Cortina d’Ampezzo from 18th to 22nd March 2020 are available online.
Get ready for the grand finale of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup season, which kicked off in Sölden last 25th October: 5 days of races and events, 9 races and 12 Discipline World Cup titles, 2 Overall World Cup titles and 2 Team World Cup titles.
150 athletes from 20 nations will compete on the famous slopes of Cortina which saw many improvements in view of the Cortina 2021 World Championships: Olympia delle Tofane underwent an important restyling after hosting a total of 100 World Cup races, and will host all women’s races and the men’s Giant Slalom. The new Vertigine slope has an average gradient of 32%, a maximum gradient of 73% and will host the men’s Downhill and Super G.
All fans can experience the thrill of the competitions (two per day, except on Friday, when the Alpine Team Event will take place) and enjoy a fabulous view of the competition course and the Dolomites from the renewed Rumerlo Finish Area.
Fans have three options:
- Olympia Stadium, the area dedicated to fun and celebration;
- Vertigine Grandstand, the perfect place for fans and for all those who want to experience the thrill of the race in close contact with the athletes;
- Audi Cortina Lounge, the special place with a spectacular view of the race courses, where you can enjoy hospitality in pure ‘Dolomite style’.
Fondazione Cortina 2021 has three types of deluxe memberships for those who want to experience the event as protagonists. The membership packages are designed to engage the public in the best way possible during the 2021 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, but can already be purchased to attend the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals: White and Gold Memberships for individuals, Corporate Membership for companies. The packages include a full pass giving access to the different areas of the Rumerlo Finish Area during all the competition days and many other advantages: shuttle service, ski days with the Ambassador Kristian Ghedina, season ski pass with custom graphics, access to the Cortina 2021 Lounge, access to unique experiences proposed by the Partners of Fondazione Cortina 2021, exclusive merchandise and much more.
Great news for all the fans this year thanks to the collaboration with the Organising Committees of the Italian Men’s World Cup races: if you buy a ticket for a race either in Gardena/Gröden, Alta Badia or Madonna di Campiglio, you’ll receive a 15% discount on the purchase of tickets for the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals in Cortina. This partnership was born from the common desire to promote alpine skiing, in Italy and abroad, not as individual Organising Committees but as a union of Committees thanks to joint communication and promotion.
Fondazione Cortina 2021 also reached an agreement with Dolomiti Superski, Official Partner of Fondazione Cortina 2021, to promote the area of the Dolomites, UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the two most important sporting events to be held in Italy in the coming years. This partnership aims to offer ticket discounts to holders of a ski pass of Italy’s largest ski area, according to the type of ski pass that has been purchased. And if you buy your ski pass in Cortina d’Ampezzo, you’ll receive a further discount on the World Cup Finals tickets.
And last but not least, all Italy’s ski teams attending the event will receive a 30% discount on tickets in order to encourage the participation of young athletes inspired by champions.
Tickets for the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals can be purchased online on Cortina 2020 website (skiworldcupfinalscortina2020.com/en/ticketing) and Cortina 2020 official app through the VivaTicket platform, while tickets for Gardena/Gröden, Alta Badia and Madonna di Campiglio are already available on their respective websites (www.saslong.org, www.skiworldcup.it and www.3trecampiglio.it).
