The 32 athletes challenging each other to by today’s World Champion in Rumerlo

Cortina d’Ampezzo (BL), 16 febbraio 2021 – The Lino Lacedelli slope at 5 Torri has made its international debut today, on the occasion of the women and men parallel qualifications. A single run that allows no mistakes to race for this afternoon’s World Championships title.

The best 8 on the red track and the best 8 on the blue one will be part of the Rumerlo bracket start list. Meta Hrovat, Katharina Liensberger, Coralie Frasse Sombet, Stephanie Brunner, Federica Brignone, Estelle Alphand, Piera Hudson and Nina O’Brien (red track) and Wendy Holdener, Tina Robnik, Marina Gasienica-Daniel, Andrea Filser, passed the women’s race, Paula Moltzan, Tessa Worley, Alex Tilley and Marta Bassino (blue track). Among the favorites, Petra Vlhova didn’t finish the qualification run.

The 16 qualified men are Loic Meillard, Alexander Schmid, Zan Kranjec, Samu Torsti, Timon Haugan, Luca De Aliprandini, Filip Zubcic and Matthias Roenngren (red track) and Fabio Gstrein, Stefan Luitz, Marco Odermatt, Linus Straßer, Mathieu Faivre, River Radamus, Stefan Hadalin and Ivan Kuznetsov (blue track). Outside Gino Caviezel, Adrian Pertl, Leif Kristian Nestvold-Haugen.

The final race will take place in Rumerlo at 2pm, with up and down runs for each round (reversed order) and entry to the next phase for the fastest athlete in the two runs.
