Cortina d’Ampezzo (BL), 19 February 2021 – Change of stage for the last two World Championships races, as we move from Rumerlo to the Druscié track which will host the two rapid gates races set to close the Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo. 

Tomorrow is the last race on the women’s programme and it will be opened by one of the great protagonists of this event, Austrian Katharina Liensberger, joint gold with Marta Bassino in the parallel and bronze in Thursday’s giant. Behind her, in order of appearance, Petra Vlhova, Laurence St-Germain, Mikaela Shiffrin and Chiara Mair, Michelle Gisin and Wendy Holdener, who starts with number 7. Completing the first group, Thea Louise Stjernesund, Mina Fuerst Holtmann, Lena Duerr, Erin Mielzynski, Kristin Lysdahl, Katharina Huber, Irene Curtoni and Emelie Wikstroem. 

Two years ago in Åre the winner was American Mikaela Shiffrin, who tomorrow will aim for her fourth medal in Cortina d’Ampezzo. First run at 10.00, the second at 13.30. The FIS race will start at the same times, valid as qualification for the men’s slalom which will take place on Sunday. The test will take place on the Lino Lacedelli track in 5 Torri.
